At our Second Town Hall, we asked attendees to consider the most popular projects suggested by the community as facility needs for Brady ISD. Everyone was given a set of cards, each card with one of the projects on it. A timeline was placed on the wall broken down into: Immediate need, Next 5 years, 5 to 10 years, 10 to 20 years, 20 to 30 years. Attendees were asked to take each project they felt was important for Brady ISD to take-on, and to fill out blank cards with other suggestions, and place them on the timeline in the time period when they thought the project should be undertaken.

Above are the overall results of the timeline, with the projects ordered from most votes to least votes. The bar for each project is broken down into how many times it was mentioned in each of the time periods: blue representing immediate, red representing the next 5 years, orange representing 5 to 10 years and green representing 10 to 20 years.

The following graph takes a look at the projects that are the most popular in the “immediate” and “next 5 years” time periods.

For this time period the Career Center and Renovating Brady Elementary pull far ahead of the other projects. Following up behind them is a close clump of projects including a New Auditorium, Classroom Addition at Brady Elementary, Secure Entries for all Campuses, and a Softball Field.

A few attendees made some special notes on their cards in the immediate and next five years time periods, including:

  • Four mentions of renovating only the restrooms at Brady Elementary;
  • Four mentions of building a new baseball field along with a softball field;
  • Two write-ins for Reverse Osmosis Water Filtration at all campuses; and
  • One write-in for renovating the locker rooms at the Football stadium.
